Welcome to the autumn term 2020!

PE Curriculum

Our intent for Physical Education is that every child will have the opportunity to take part in physical activity on a regular basis and become more physically confident and competent. We intend that, through all the sporting opportunities and physical activity we offer, the children will potentially develop a love and passion for sport and continue this into their later lives.

We provide the children with at least two hours of fun, exciting and active PE lessons every week as well as daily Wake and Shake or The Daily Mile. We also have pupil play-leaders who organise games and activities for other children during break and lunch time.

Our PE curriculum map provides a rolling programme of sports that are taught in line with the National Curriculum. Swimming is taught each year in addition to the sports planned on the curriculum map. Each year, we allocate some of our Sports Premium budget to supporting KS1 swimming as we believe this is an important like skill for our children, especially with our coastal locality. Please see more information on the Sports Premium on the relevant section of this website.

We ensure that we offer a range of sports clubs throughout the week and plan to cover a wide range of sports to ensure that children experience different opportunities.

PE and Sport are an integral part of our school and we hope that this continues to prepare our children for an active life after they move on to secondary school.
