Hello I'm back!!
This term we be learning about Cornwall and the amazing things that go on in our local area. From Tin mines to pasties.
Thank you for all your support over the last few months.
We are going to be visiting Geevor Tin mine as well as going to one of Cornwall's fantastic beaches, where we will be helping to keep the local environment clean and clear by participating in a beach clean.
We will be making a giant collage of a Tin Mine and making our own clay models of an engine house.
It's a full and busy term.
If there is anything I can assist with then please see me.
Welcome to Autumn Term 2018!!
This term our topic will be Kings Queens and Castles. We have a full exiting range of activities planned including a visit to a castle, crowning our own kings and queens and creating our own coats of arms.
Your child will be bringing home reading books on a daily basis and we expect them to read as often as possible with you. Reading is such an important part of their education and it effects every aspect of their learning, with your support at home your child will progress quickly.
PE kits must be in school at all times. PE will be once a week but the day may change occasionally so Kits need to be in lockers ready to use.
If there is anything you would like to talk about this term please feel free to see me and discuss anything.
3rd October 2018. No Pen Wednesday.
Today we have had a great day working without touching a pencil or a pen!! In the morning we acted out some plays that we had created ourselves based on the book 'Whatevr Next'. Then we went into the hall and worked on our times tables using a ball. During the aftenoon we began creating collages that trelated to oyr topic. We have all had a great day.
