Welcome to our Class 4 page!

Dear parents/carers,

Welcome to the Autumn term! I hope you all had a lovely summer break and enjoyed some quality time with family. We’re excited to begin a new term filled with fresh learning and opportunities. This term, the class will be taught by Mrs Ford from Monday to Thursday and by Mrs Hooper on Fridays, with support from Mrs O'Mahoney and Miss Wimberley.

Our classroom door opens at 8:30am and closes at 8:45am for registration. Please ensure your child arrives on time, as we begin each day with a learning activity that sets the tone for learning.

Homework: Please support your child reading daily and helping them with learning their times tables and complete their spelling tasks on Morphs. Your child has a login for TTRockstars and Morphs (Spelling game) to support rapid recall. A homework grid is available at the bottom of the page and children should complete one task per week, either via Google Classroom or in their homework book.

Homework is set every Friday and due the following Friday. If you need help accessing Google Classroom, please contact the school office for IT support.

PE will be on Thursday. Please send your child’s in wearing their PE kit  on this day.

In line with our healthy school policy, children should bring water only in bottles and a healthy snack for morning break - this should be only fruit or vegetables. Reading books should be brought in daily, along with a coat on colder or wet days.

If you have any questions, please contact the office at hello@whitemoor.org.uk. We’re always here to help!

Warm regards,

The Class 4 Team

Mrs Ford, Mrs Hooper, Mrs O'Mahoney and Miss Wimberley.

Inspiring a love for reading

In Class 4 we read our class book at the end of every day as well as listening to the children read their choice of book weekly. Not only do we have a well stocked library available for our children to access, they also have access to Mrs Ford's personal library -with some highly recommended books. We are developing our reading area by introducing a comfy chair and soft furnishings.

All children will have the opportunity to visit the school library each week to choose a non-fiction book to take home.
